Thermal Power Network News: Since the beginning of the year, domestic natural gas production has grown steadily, imported resources have increased significantly, and apparent consumption has gradually declined from the peak, but still maintained a high level. During key periods such as the Spring Festival and the "two sessions," key needs such as residents' lives and fertilizer production have been better guaranteed.
Domestic production has grown steadily. According to industry express statistics (the same below), natural gas output in February was 9.2 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. From January to February, it accumulated 19 billion cubic meters, an increase of 4.3%.
Imports maintained a high increase. Imported natural gas in February was approximately 3.25 billion cubic meters, a nearly doubled year-on-year increase, of which LNG (liquefied natural gas) increased by 6.5%. From January to February, 6.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas was imported, an increase of 80.9%.
Apparent consumption has gradually declined. The apparent consumption in February was 12.8 billion cubic meters, and the average daily gas consumption decreased by 2 million cubic meters compared with January, mainly due to the rise in temperature and the decrease in heating gas consumption. Beijing's average daily gas consumption in February was 48.6 million cubic meters, a decrease of 800,000 cubic meters per day from January.
